## Connect without manual setup
For assistants with HTTP tools: POST https://autojob.org/oauth/device/start with JSON {"client_name":"Your assistant name","resource":"https://autojob.org/api/v1"}.
Present verification_uri_complete as a Connect Autojob link or sign-in window, alongside user_code. The user signs in and connects; no server URL, API key, callback server, or settings change is needed.
Keep device_code private. Poll the returned token_endpoint with form-encoded grant_type=urn:ietf:params:oauth:grant-type:device_code, device_code, client_id, and resource. Wait interval seconds between polls. Retry authorization_pending; increase interval by five seconds for slow_down; stop for access_denied or expired_token. Use the resulting Bearer token for the API, or request resource https://autojob.org/mcp for MCP. Never ask the user to paste a token into chat. Only say connected after token exchange succeeds.
For installed MCP integrations, standard OAuth PKCE opens the sign-in screen automatically. Tool discovery is public; account actions require connection.
